Clear Lake Camping Trip July 8 - 11

Anyone who knows us knows that we love to go camping. Before we had our children Jon and I always tented. We usually only got on one camping trip per year and that was always to Clear Lake in Riding Mountain National Park in Manitoba. We love it there. Once our children were born we did what we said we would never do, buy a camper...LOL! We have never regreted that decision. It is so nice to have a camper to retreat to if it rains, if it is too cold or whatever. I vowed that once we bought it, we would use it. That meant, no more 'one camping trip years', now it was all about how many times can we get away.

This year we went on a number of camping trips, our first was to our annual get away, Clear Lake. Here are some pictures of that get away.

There is something about getting away in a camper. Fires everynight, cooking outside (yes, even though we have all the modern essentials inside the camper, we still like to cook on an open grill outdoors). The kids absolutely love it. They just can't wait to get to the beach once we have unhooked the camper and set the awning up.

This year Jon bought me a bike and we got two bike carts so we bike everywhere we go, the two girls in one and Ty in the other. It is so important to find something to do together as a family that everyone enjoys and this is what we do.

A Sunday Morning In June

Here are some pictures of my two older children. Sydney will be 4 in October, Hayley just turned 2. They were out front of our house on one Sunday morning in June just before we were going to church. I had to get some quick pics otherwise I wouldn't have had anything...lol, Hayley especially isn't one for alot of picture taking!

We are very blessed to have three beautiful and healthy children! When they play good, they play so good...lol, when they don't...what a challenge! Little Ty I am sure would have loved to be outside with these two!

Welcome Everyone!

With some encouragment from cousin Brad and his wife Samantha at a family reunion a couple weeks ago, I thought I would give this a try. It seems like such a perfect way for everyone around to keep up with your life!

As the days go on and time allows I will bring you up to speed on what we are up to! Feel free to leave a comment or two.
