Project Life Layout, April 16 - April 22 {Week 16}
April 16 - Our youngest LOVES LOVES LOVES his bathtime. You should have seen him about 2 minutes after this picture was taken. He was being dragged out of the tub and he was not happy about it...
April 17 - Here is the proof that our bed is 'everyone's bed'. As soon as everyone wakes up on daddy's days off they all pile into our bed.
This is a picture of my mom when she was 16. Look on the tv behind her and to the right side. There is a rotating lamp of some air planes. I don't know what it is about that lamp, but I love it. I see it and I think of grandpa and grandma because up until not to many years ago, it was still on their tv (mom is now 55 years young just to give you an idea how long the lamp has been around). Well at Christmas time I mentioned to Grandpa how I loved that lamp and wondered what ever happened to it...let's go see if we can find it he said. We headed down into their basement and found it. Guess what, he gave it to me! You know what, I think he loved the fact that I love that lamp! Here it is:
April 18 - The lamp my grandpa gave to me now sits on my son's dresser. When you turn it on, it heats up and the inside panel rotates and gives the illusion that the planes are flying.
Today is also my weigh in day - I missed entering it on last weeks post. Last week I was down another 1.5 lbs, but today the scale has not changed. I am happy with that though. Things are going along greatly. I am closer to my goal of losing the last of the baby weight from my four pregnancies, but more than that, I want to be healthy also. In the last few years I have become more aware of the things we put into our bodies and the things we shouldn't. I don't like taking a ton of vitamins in the form of pills, but I don't mind drinking stuff. My sister in law and mother in law have been using a product called BioSlim so this week I have decided that I am going to start using it as well. It lowers cholesterol, increases energy, lowers triglycerides and what I really LOVE is that it is all natural. I will keep you posted as to what I think of it. Here is to great health!!!
April 19 - The Souris River is just across the road from our place and as you can see, the levels are dangerously high. This has come up even since yesterday. It appears like the place across from us is under water, but it isn't {thankfully}. It is believed to be as high as it is going to get, providing there is no more snow or rain, and there isn't a jam up down stream.
April 20 - My son is always surprising me with something. As usual, he starts of his school on the floor laying out his number train. I am busy with my second daughter and he calls me. I look down and here he made a heart for me out of an elastic! Hold that pose I said....I love this!
April 21 - First 4-H ride of the year for the girls. They were having so much fun!!!
April 22 - Happy Easter. It is very humbling to know that Jesus died for me! Last year we started what appears to now be an annual tradition at my mom and dad's. We get together for a cold plate meal and a massive 'egg hunt' for the kids. They get bubbles, sidewalk chalk, water guns, oh the list goes on. We all pitch in stuff for each kid and hide it. They enjoy it so much! My son here found one of the many items hiding under a pine tree.
On to {Week 17}. I will just note that as I am getting ready to publish {Week 16} on my blog, I am living the first day of my {Week 17} and it has started off with alot of snakes...we found the hole where they are coming out of and they were coming out in multiples today...eeewwwww!
One more thing, I apologize to all of you who made comments this week. I always try to go and be sure to comment on all of yours and it has been hard to find the time to sit and get that done this week. I will set aside some time Monday to do just that. Thanks to all of you who do regularly stop by and leave a kind word, I appreciate it.
See you next week.

Project Life Layout, April 9 - April 15 {Week 15}
April 9 - I took a walk outside today to see if there was any other evidence besides robin's and geese that spring was here and I found it. Some of the trees are just starting to develop buds! That is pure excitement for me.
April 10 - Daddy was still at work, oldest daughter and one son on afternoon play dates, youngest boy sleeping, it was just mommy and little miss. Mommy, can we go outside and play, please...how could I say no...? Off we went. I adore her perfect little smile here.
April 11 - {The top photo for today} The kids and I took a walk through the pasture this afternoon and just as we were nearing the turn into our lane my oldest daughter noticed this beauty! What a welcome site I tell you. There were two of them.
The collage I will do as an 8.5 X 11 print in my album. A collection of some shots from our walk today.
April 12 - First off, I dislike snakes, with a passion. But, I also needed to get a picture of what my oldest was up today also. It gets nice out and what comes slithering out of the ground but a bunch of snakes. And of course my outdoorsey daughter is right there to catch them...yes them, there were four of them...eeeewwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! They just give me the heebbie jeebbies! Then we have to name them, of course. Henry, Fred, Franklin and the fourth remained nameless until they came up with the name Scarey! Mom, can we keep them for pets...NO!
April 13 - Everyday once the supper dishes are cleared away my husband will read a chapter in The Bible and we follow that with a family devotional and a discussion to give the kids a chance to say what they want to say or ask about something they just don't understand. Today I wanted to capture us in this which is one of the most important moments of our day.
April 14 - Our youngest son is definetly the comedic one in the family. It doesn't seem to matter what it is but he can turn it into something funny. I love that! We all need that in life.
April 15 - My cowboy in training. He wants spurs! Not sure he is ready for the real thing but he sure has his eye on a pair!
{Week 15} done. Hope you all had a great week, see you in 7 days!

Project Life Layout, April 2 - April 8 {Week 14}
April 2 - Our oldest daughter got up to help make daddy's lunch this morning. (Remember about 6 weeks ago I said I can't remember when the last time was that I bought a loaf of bread because I make all my own...that was until this week, bread was on a huge sale of 10 loaves for $10. You can't make it for a buck a loaf so I bought 6 of them.) When that runs out, it is back to home made.
April 3 - Really??? Another snow storm? I remember this exact day 1 year ago and there was no snow, we were wearing just a light sweater and it was dry out...not this year. We got it lucky with this storm though, just north of here about 50 miles got 12 inches of the heavy white stuff! We ended up with likely around 4 or 5 inches of it.
Monday is weigh in day - Down 1.5 lbs again this week. That is a total of 10.5 lbs since I started on March 1! I took my measurements and my total measurments are down 6.5 inches, the bulk of that was around my mid section. I think that is alot to lose in just a month, and I do not forsee the same thing for April, nor do I think that it should be. I want this to be a healthy loss. I am going to set a goal of 1 lb a week for April. Following weight watchers is the way to go for me. It really is simple and you really can eat alot of food. Just make wise food choices!
April 4 - There were two of these eagles circling above our acerage and I tried to get a good shot, but by the time I got back outside with my zoom lens, they were heading East.
April 5 - The top photo for today was the highlight of this kids day for sure! After school was done, we made mint oreo truffles but rather than dipping them in 'plain ole chocolate', we dipped them in blue chocolate wafers on lollipop sticks. Okay, for you weight watchers people out there (I am one of you also), these little babies are a whopping 5 points. Very rich, and very delicious!!!
The next photo I took through our garden door window because I didn't want to disturb the shot. My oldest daughter and our dog Libby. I thought it was cute. I am going to print this in an 8 X 8 and use it in my weekly layout.
April 6 - There is so much water this spring that the river has over flowed into the once dry overflow beds. We have only lived here for two years, but a neighbor who has lived here for 20 says she has never seen the river overflow into the dry beds like this. We rode our horses all through here many times last summer. Will have to see what happens as the spring thaw continues.
We were eating lunch and the kids said look at all the geese. No kidding, there were thousands and thousands of them. I have never seen a flock of geese so long in all of my life. From the time we first noticed them til they were all past it was a good 10 minutes. I wish I could have got them all in, but I just quickly switched over to my zoom lens and got outside and got a few, this turned out the best. Alas, spring is here...! I am going to print this as an 8 X 8 also and put it on the backside of my daughter and our dog.
April 7 - It is impossible to take a picture of my oldest daughter outside and not include Libby our dog. Sure enough, I told her to jump up and down and Libby had to be right there with her. I love that I got my daughters two feet and the dogs front two feet in the shot.
April 8 - Rain and snow today but that didn't dampen these kids spirits. Here they are taking a break from playing in the muck outside. I set the timer to capture all of us playing/working in the kitchen.
That wraps up {Week 14} for me. I hope you enjoyed this peek into our life. Please leave a comment. I love to know what people are thinking.
Have a great week everyone, see you same time same place.

Project Life Layout, March 26 - April 1 {Week 13}
March 26 - I attended my second scrapbooking retreat lastnight and today. I got 13 traditional pages done then I got caught up on all my journaling cards for my project life album (I had not filled out the last 60 journalling cards!). Thankfully, I had my blog to refer back to for what to write on a few of the pictures. It was a great weekend. Can't wait for the next one.
March 27 - I purchased these lacing shapes from Christianbooks.com {LOVE that place!} Excellent quality, and inexpensive. The purpose was for my 3 year old to have something 'new' to occupy him when we are in worship service and they certainly were the right choice. He loves them.
Monday is weigh in day: Down 1.5 lbs since last Monday. I am starting to notice that clothes are not feeling as 'tight'...
March 28 - I love it when my two girls can sit down and play with their dolls together. Here they both got out their american girl dolls and did their hair together.
March 29 - I finally received the camera strap I ordered from Shey B. She makes them as you order them so it takes a bit longer. I love it! You won't find something as cute as this at your local Walmart. Head over to her blog and pick one out of her many options.
March 30 - I never take pictures of our food for some reason, but today thought I would take a picture of something that my kids LOVE. Whole wheat crackers, small slice of ham, half slice of cucumber and a square of cheese. This was lunch today for them, followed by fresh strawberries.
March 31 - This is what I do every morning before the kids awake. First I get my husband's lunch ready and send him off to work, then I sit down and check email, etc.
April 1 - We have had a preacher here all week long speaking on the Book of Revelations and current events of today (amazing!). Often when we have a preacher here for a series like this we will hold a sing following his closing prayer. A sing is simply a group of people who want to sing hymns of choice. Alot of people went home and didn't stay but a few of us did. Here is evidence of our awesome evening. I wanted to go up and take a face shot of all but I opted to stay back. I took a few other photos that I did up in this digital layout:
I include alot more in my Project Life album that what I post on the blog. It seems as though I have used my blog just to showcase the 7 POTD for that week, but I include so much more. Should I take pictures of actual layouts to include in my weekly posting? You tell me...
Have a great week.
See you once {Week 14} has wrapped up for me.
